Hera - Female- Black (CIHAH #11.001)

Hera is an incredibly sweet, affectionate and easy-going cat. She came to us as a foster with four all black kittens that have been adopted. Hera is wonderful around other cats and dogs. She adapts well to any environment, is litter box trained and is a little piggy at feeding time. She's a bit of a flight risk so be sure not to leave any open doors for her to escape out of. She spent her entire life out doors until just a couple months ago. She was an incredible mama cat who doted on her kittens. Now she's looking for a human to give all of her affection to.

Oswald - Male - Orange Tabby (CIHAH #11.005)

The only boy the group, Oswald is quite outgoing, adventurous and curious. He's got extra toes (like the Hemmingway cats) but they don't hinder him in any of his activities. This boy would make an excellent companion to anyone.

Viola - Female - Gray Tabby (CIHAH #11.004)

Viola is another polydactl (extra toes) kitten. She too is a cuddle bug who loves to be held and petted. The extra toes do not make it difficult for her to do all the things her other littermates do. She's quite petite with a healthy appetite and tons of energy.

Rosalind - Female - Gray Tabby (CIHAH #11.003)

Rosalind is a beautiful sweet girl with an extra toe on each front paw that looks like a thumb. She looks like she's walking with mittens on! Hemmingway kept many polydactyl cats just like her. She's incredibly cute and loves to be held and get a chin scratch. Wouldn't you love to take this unique little girl home?

Audrey - Female - Gray Tabby (CIHAH #11.002)

Audrey is a sweet and shy girl. She's littler than the others and loves to cuddle. She inspects everything around her and is quick to warm up to just about anyone.

Claribel - Female - Gray Tabby (CIHAH #11.006)

Claribel is a very sweet chubby faced little girl. She's an orphan and though not from the same litter as the others, she's been a great adopted sister. She's adventurous and loving. Don't you just want to pinch her cheeks?

Hemmingway Kittens

This week we did a foster trade with another foster in the Feline Rescue Association network so she could take on a mother with NINE kittens.

We present to you the Hemmingway Kittens (some of these babies have extra toes!) (separate posts for each to follow)

Diana the Doberman!

Last week we got our 1st doberman to foster!  Shes an older lady with a huge heart and a horrible past. Through all of that, she still has the currage to trust humans, and loves anyone who will give her the time of day and a scratch behind the ear.

Dobie Transports!

Though we do not have any fosters at the moment, we have been able to work with D.A.R&E., a doberman rescue, transporting their dogs.

**ADOPTED**Link - Male- Gray Kitten (CiHaH# 10.1001)

Link, like his sister Zelda, has gorgeous soft, plushy fur that is perfect for cuddling and petting. He's incredibly playful and curious, and has a fondness for batting Lego around and chasing laser-pointers. Link came to FRA through an owner surrender and has been thriving in his foster home.

He loves to explore and to greet you for a good long head scratch. He's a climber, and embodies the cliche of "curious as a cat". Berg is a very sweet kitty who loves to play and get a good petting out of his person.

Turns out, we ourselves couldn't give this little guy up. As he grew, his personality became more and more apparent that he doesn't adjust well to change. Every adoption event was met with tantrums and screaming. Pete started out being the most skittish of the three, but as his brother and sister were adopted, this little guy turned into a very loving boy. Pete has joined our family permanently, and we all couldn't be happier.

**ADOPTED** Diddles - Female - Black/Brown Brindle Lab/Boxer Mix (CIHAH#10.0605)

Diddles is a 9 week old puppy (as of June 5) who was rescued from a kill shelter moments before her young life would have been cut short. She's a very energetic and playful girl so be prepared to spend lots of time romping outside! She is gentle and loving.

She doesn't care who is playing with her whether they be cat dog or her favorite person. Diddles has quite an appetite so be sure to keep an eye on her food intake because she could end up eating too much if not watched. She is currently being crate trained and is almost housebroken. She loves to give kisses.

**ADOPTED** Bo - Male - Fox Hound (CIHAH#10.0606)

This is Bo. He is a 1-2 year-old Foxhound with a great personality! He's friendly and loving and just look how he snuggles. We currently aren't fostering him directly, but he is in our network of pups. He is up to date on all vacs, and has been fixed.

If you are interesting in meeting this little guy, please fill out this application:
The rehoming fee is $60, but he is UTD on all his shots for the year.

**ADOPTED** Bella - Female - Walker Hound (CIHAH#10.0607)

This is a 1-2 year old Female walkerhound. She was saved from a Killshelter in WV, and needs a home BADLY! She currently is being held at a private kennel, but needs a forever home ASAP.

Please fill out a CIHAH application if you are interested in her.

**ADOPTED** Gracie - Female - Shepard / Lab Mix (cihah#10.0609)

Grace is a very special girl. She's a Shepard / lab mix pup, about four months old. Gracie and her brother Hopper were rescued from a very abusive situation. Gracie is very timid and frightened of people. This little girl needs extra love and attention. She likes to be held, but still gets jumpy when you go to pick her up. We are currently working on teaching her basic commands, as well as to trust and love. Will you be the special home that Gracie needs?

Update on Gracie: every day she comes out of her shell just a little bit more and most recently has start to play and jump around with our Westie, Yuki. She's friendly towards cats, walking up and sniffing our two chubby kitties, Ellie and Jade. Gracie has shown no aggression towards any animal or people since her arrival in our home. She whines when she needs to go out, and is still nervous if you approach her, but merely shies away rather than become aggressive. We're starting to see a silly and playful personality that needs just a little more coaxing.

**ADOPTED** Oriole - Female - American Terrier Mix (cihah#10.0610)

Oriole is a 6 week old American Terrier mix. She has a beautiful golden coat and the prettiest green eyes you'll ever find on a pup. She's very sweet and very playful and her favorite thing is to snuggle up to you and take a nap.

Raven and Oriole were rescued just a few days ago. Born in captivity, this is the first time they have been in a real home. Oriole is a very curious pup who loves to explore her surroundings.

She's been introduced to other dogs and even cats and gets along really well with both. She's working really hard at housetraining. She's got a love for treats and laps, and she's very content just being held. Please visit our Facebook page for more pictures.

**ADOPTED** Raven - Female - American Terrier Mix (cihah#10.0611)

Raven is a 6 week old American Terrier mix pup. She's a very sweet girl who loves to run and play. She hops around a lot during playtime, her little legs just not big enough for her excitement level. She's a very good cuddler as well, and she'd rather be in your lap than anywhere else. She's a gentle girl, and she loves other animals, even cats!

Currently Raven is working on becoming housebroken. She was born in captivity so this is the first time she's been in a home and she's doing really well. She needs lots of chew toys because she's still teething but she already knows not to chew furniture. She's a people dog, she doesn't like to be too far from her person so be prepared to pay lots of attention to her. She loves to give kisses and hugs and she's a very good napper.
