July 14, 2010 - Diddles and Bo have been returned. Please take a look at these special dogs. Their owners ran into some unforeseen difficulties and were unable to care for them.

This past Sunday we participated in an Animal Rescue Transport. About a hundred animals were rescued from a North Carolina shelter and needed to be transported to upstate New York. The journey was divided into hour long segments with several people volunteering to driver each leg.

We picked up a carload in Baltimore and drove them to Newark, DE where they were handed off to be driven to PA.

In our car we had a crate of 5 kittens, one cat, one dachshund, and one chow-lab mix pup. This was for a great cause, saving the lives of so many animals and was such a wonderful experience. Everything was incredibly well organized and so well executed we couldn't help but be impressed.

We can't wait to do it again! Please keep an eye on this blog if you'd like to get involved. These wonderful people do transports frequently and are always in need of drivers.

This coming week/end, in Baltimore, state-licensed veterinarians will be offering vaccination clinics for dogs and cats, aged 8 weeks and up, in Petco stores. All core vaccines available. Also offering veterinary flea treatments, heartworm/parasitic preventative medications, and pet microchipping.
